Photographer's Note

Pag - an island in the Adriatic Sea off the coast of Dalmatia. The fifth largest island of Croatia (length: 60 km, width: 2 to 10 km), but having the longest coastline (302.47 km). In the center of the island plunges long and narrow strips Paski Zaljev bay. The population consists of about 8 thousand. residents. The highest point, Sveti Vid, stands 348 m above sea level. Largest town on the island is also known as Pag.

The island is dominated by a Mediterranean climate. There is no fresh water on it. The surface of the island make up the vast field of white stones that resemble a lunar landscape, a large part of the island is barren and rocky. Such terrain contributed very often blowing, strong and dry winds - bora. On the rocky fields is small vegetation, which grazed sheep. The main diet of sheep are thyme, rosemary and sage. With this unique diet cheese from the island (Paski sir) has a unique flavor and has become a local specialty .. The waters of the Gulf harvested sea salt.
