Photographer's Note
At first we thought this might be a hummingbird but it turns out it's a hawk (or sphinx) moth which are common around Croatia. I also learned that hummingbirds are only native to the Americas. So if you ever see a "hummingbird" outside of America then it's almost certainly not.
