Photographer's Note

It was very difficult to photograph locals during this trip to Croatia. Dubrovnik was the worst for that, as it very touristy and the only locals you see are working at the restaurants and shops.

To find locals doing natural day to day activities was very hard. Finally here in Rovinj I was excited to find these boys playing soccer (yes, soccer for me, football for most others). It was the perfect set up with the statue/monument in the bg.

I parked myself right here and took as many shots as I could before a parent may approach me.

The lighting was very very harsh and bright, overexposing the scene easily. Therefore I darkened it, as you can see. In the original photo the light washed out all the details, so this version here may be a bit on the dark side but at least you can see the statue more clearly.

In the WS is another fun shot of a baby crawling away from its father :)
