Photographer's Note

With this photo I'm starting series dedicated to the dancers of Argentine tango in Bulgaria, who celebrated on December 11, 2005 the International Day of Argentine Tango.
Argentine tango dancers in Bulgaria are grouped in two major tango schools, Sofia Tango and TanguerIN. Due to the efforts of these schools' managers the dance is fast gaining popularity here.
The photo was taken during one of the so called "milongas" - tango parties, where people skilful in the art of dancing can share experience and emotions.

Hi Snezhana,

Very nicely composed strong image, and you captured the moment very well... the waiting.

Just yesterday I posted an image with the same intent... Something waiting (in my case were hats) waiting for the tango to begin!!!

Anyway, I am from Buenos Aires and was not aware that tango gaining popularity in Bulgaria, so your note is very useful too!!

Hi Snezhana - your great photo conveys the atmosphere of tango - at first I even thought it had been taken in Buenos Aires. We feel the tango and its sensuality and rhytm - even though we don't see the dance here, really a great idea. Thanks! Daniel.

good composition. especially the glass in hand shows her expectation. it could be better if the backgound has less focus and the girl get clear focus. anyway, you're a good story teller.
