Hi,
It's Palm's Sunday here but for understandable climatic reasons we use willows' twigs to celebrate this day.
This day is called Tzvetnitsa here, the stress being on the first syllable.
All people in Bulgaria who have floral names have their name day today.Here are just some examples.
Female names: Lilia, Zdravka, Kamelia, Kremena, Tsvetana/Tsvetanka, Grozdanka, Varbinka, Roza, Rozalia, Rozalina, Ruzha, Latinka, Elitsa
Male names: Varban, Zdravko, Goran, Tsvetan, Yavor,Grozdan, Latin
I hope this note will be useful to all those who are interested in the Balkan culture.I'd like to take the advantage and to pass my warmest regards to all Orthodox people of the Balkans.
