Photographer's Note

Actually, I don't find a suitable cathegory for this shot.
None of the offered suits it but, as when being at a restaurant is like a ceremony to me, I've stopped my choice at "Ceremony".
Of course, what you see here is no longer daily chores or outfit. It's already etnography.
I saw thus decorated wall at a restaurant in Zheravna.
Both women's clothing are an illustration of what was once popular to wear about some 130-140-150 years ago.
Today, as I said, it can be seen as etnography and also at concerts of Bulgarian folk music and folk dances.
I only know, there are 8 etnographic areas in Bulgaria.
An amazing fact, bearing in mind the small size of the country- a country as big as a palm, if litterally translating in English one of the most popular metaphors about Bulgaria.
But I assure you and don't think I'm partial, the Bulgarian women have an innate taste for well combined colours.
The big item you see fixed on the same wall still can be seen in some houses especially where traditions have been preserved .It's called "kitenik" and it's used as bedcloth as a decoration or even to cover during winter cold nights.
Oh, my god, I'm very bad at etnography, in fact. But to begin with, it's enough, I assume.
Christian, je crois, la photo n'est pas avec beaucoup de bruit, ah?:)
Nice evening.
