Tornado in Varna Bay, a photo from Varna, East

Photographer's Note

A very rare chance to see and photograph a tornado in Varna - I've seen it only twice. The picture is a bit grainy and blurry but I haven't got my primary camera with me. I haven't got time to change the settings because it happened so quickly - one second you see only dark gray clouds over dark grey sea, on the next you see them connected trough a flexible dark grey funnel.

Hi Ben! Great capture of the tornedo. There are a few things to this one. The foreground, the buildins, is unsharp, because of the long exposure. Perhaps you should have poot the camera on a tripod or something. There's also a bit of noise in the sky. But good job, Regards Florian

Despite of the difficult conditions you had for taking this picture, it's a great job to catch a tornado. I never saw one but would like.
It seems to be very quick and easy to miss.

Good work Ben! This is unmistakable and it's perfectly clear to me. The graininess lends an authenticity to the shot.

Oh my gosh..... I really wish to see that at least once in my life. But I'm sure that when it'll happen... I won't have my camera with me or batteries will be dead. Going back to the picture. Well, I like the grainy sky, colours are clear.

Varna impressed me a lot this year with its atmosphere, landscapes and friendly and smiling people. I am sure that I would have been impressed significantly more if I'd seen such amazing phenomenon! Great photo!
