Photographer's Note
Stari Most (The Old Bridge) over the Neretva river has given name to the city itself - Mostar. It was originally built in the 16th century (1557-66) under Ottoman rule.
It stood for 427 years until it was destroyed in November 1993 by Croat military forces during the Croat–Bosniak war. More than 60 shells hit the bridge before it collapsed.
Reconstruction began in June 2001 under the supervision of UNESCO and it was rebuilt with local materials and Ottoman construction techniques by a Turkish company. The reconstructed bridge was inaugurated in July 2004.
It is tradition for the young men of Mostar to leap the 24 meters from the bridge into Neretva.

Hello Kaj, this is a great view of the bridge, with the minaret on the left for balance. Good colours and definition. It is good to see the bridge so well restored. This is a place I would love to see.
Best wishes.......Maggie

It is not easy to find unusual photo of Old Bridge, but this can be in that category, good angle, perfect sky, which is not your fault.
Great job!
