Photographer's Note

A picture taken from "Courthouse" of Ghent Belgium, in 2000 completely restore.
The Courthouse (Gerechtshof) was designed by Louis Roelandt and built between 1836 and 1846 on the site where a monastery once stood.
This impressive building, situated at themeeting of River Leie and the Ketelvaart canal, reflects the spirit of Italian Renaissance.
In 1926 the interior of the Courthousewas completely bernt out and numerous legal items and archives were lost. When the building was recostructed, it was decided to rearrange the court rooms and offices.

This photo I have cropped to a better composition, but the colours are real.

I hope you like it.
