Due to the corona measures, cities like Bruges and Ghent are too dangerous for me to visit, so I stay rural, I know this photo may not be very interesting for many, but I hope that there will be a freedom for everyone

Damme is a picturesque medieval town in the polders, a stone's throw from historic Bruges and the Belgian coast.

Natural and rural Damme. The green, fertile polders alternate with wet meadows and natural creeks: a blessing for nature. The region is intersected by three major canals; the riparian vegetation is the perfect base for an ambush of the blue heron, which you can regularly see at work here. Cormorants, ducks and other water birds will also find what they are looking for here. The roadsides have their specific vegetation and are the habitat for various small mammals.

I hope you like it
