HISTORY:

In the autumn of 1944, the Canadians liberated the municipalities south of the Leopold Canal in the Battle of the Leopold Canal.

I have already shown several pictures of this channel
Here I don't show concrete bunkers where heavy fighting took place, just a calm image
But in this picture, everything is peaceful, and the yellow rapeseed flowers now give a wonderful feeling, but we cannot smell on TE
I was born barely a mile from here, spent my childhood here, learning to swim, ice skating in winter, with a wooden raft as sailors in summer (as teenagers)
Hence, this place is part of my life.
