DAMME

I took this picture one month ago,

Sail with the Lamme Goedzak from historic Bruges to the lovely Damme or vice versa. The slow, but stylish boat is undoubtedly the ideal way to discover the Damse Vaart and enjoy this sliding polder landscape surrounded by stately rows of poplars. On board you can scan a QR code and you will hear (in 5 languages) more about the history of the Damse Vaart and the city itself. A boat trip takes about half an hour. Tip: take your bike with you on the boat and return by bike!

Tip: did you know that the Lamme Goedzak opens 1 evening a week as ... a café? You can also rent the boat for parties.

Hello John,
Very pleasant colours in the mild light of winter. The trees on the right side lead my eyes to the glimpse of a windmill in the distance. They are nicely reflected in the calm water of the canal, where the boat adds a good focal point.

Hallo John,
Wat een mooie winterdag met het zonlicht dat een mooie warme gloed aan de bomen geeft zodat ze mooi tegen de blauwe licht afsteken. De compositie is mooi in balans dankzij de vaart en het schip aan de linkerkant.

Hallo John,
In de verte zien we de wieken van de Schellemolen boven de bomen uitrijzen.
Het water was uiterst kalm en vertoont heldere weerspiegelingen. Je hebt gekozen om de railing van de brug als voorgrond te gebruiken.
Het licht bezorgt de bomen een mooie kleur, schril in contrast met het blauw van de lucht.
Prachtige zachte wolkjes sieren die lucht.

the golden touch of these trees at side of the canal broke the grey-blue mood of the compo. a nice view of the canal and this boat.

Hello John,

Soft, pastel colours, with nice reflections in the canal and good sharpness. The windmill on the horizon adds a focal point. Nice warm vs cold colour contrasts too. Tfs!

Hello John, How strange looks Damme in this picture. Quite different than as I have it in my memory. The boat trip by Lamme Goedzak is indeed delightful. I went by it in both directions - I can't ride a bike and I had not enough time to go on foot. Nice view of the autumn trees. We can see the mill below them. Lovely composition from the bridge. Wonderful sky.

The details of the patterned railings on the bridge command immediate attention and easily move attention to the canal, the boat and that row of winter poplars! They create an excellent sense of perspective, to a glimpse of a windmill, strongly positioned.

Hello John, there is no doubt as to where we are here with the windmill in the far distance.
The colours are beautiful, and a fantastic sky.
Taken in January and yet the trees have some colour.

The purest landscape of the Netherlands in all its essence, it is a beautiful photo that does not lack anything, the beautiful canal, and old steam ship, ideally the line of trees and even a mill at the end of them , the beautiful sky also contributes to the success of the photo.

well managed to include the iron-wrought railing in from of the canal view with the barge and windmill on the far side.
Bright daylight brought beautiful colors of the trees.
