Saturday afternoon through Bruges walking with the camera in the hand.

De Meyboom Bruges

Sarturday afternoon in the rain, but a welcome rain

You will see, on this picture a statue also the frontage of the “Silversant”

"De Meyboom" is a bronze statue of Jef Claerhout in the Belgian city of Bruges.
The statue is there in the Zilversteeg.
The statue has no specific meaning. The fertility of nature is outlined. Planting a May tree is still a tradition in many cultures. This fits in with the same theme of fertile nature. The scene is supported by a horse drinking at a water source and by a couple in love under the May tree.
I hope that you enjoy it
