Church interior St Kruis Bruges, a bike trip with break during the noon, for a little bit lunch. (30 Km)

The Holy Cross Exaltation and Saint Joseph's Church is a church in Sint-Kruis, a part of the Belgian city of Bruges. It is the parish church of the center of Sint-Kruis, located along the Moerkerkse Steenweg.
The church was built and finished from 1851 to 1857. The building was erected in a neo-Gothic style by architect P.N. Croquison. A start for the construction was a sudden population increase on Sint-Kruis, as a result of which the then church became too small and this renewal was deemed necessary.
P.N. In 1851, Croquison drew the plans of the church.
Neo-gothic was on the rise in the 19th century, certainly in Bruges, which was the most important neo-gothic center of Belgium.

I hope that you enjoy it
