2018 During my bike trip saw I this the Hotel in Hoeke a small village with 200 habitants, pleasant bike area

The straight and leafy towpath along the Damse Vaart forms an excellent route for carefree and safe cycling. In good weather they pass with hundreds. Many of them stop at the large terrace of "Hotel Welkom".
On the entire route between Bruges and Sluis this is the only occasion where the patron so emphatically appreciates the bikes. With a posh bicycle parking, with a range of cycling maps and brochures and with bicycle rental for the hotel guests. "We have been working on cycling tourism for a quarter of a century. Previously we already had the permanent signposted “Riante Polderroute” and the Flanders Cycle Route. With the arrival of bicycle nodes, the number of cyclists has increased. Recently we notice that, for example, more and more Walloons and French people come cycling along here, "says son Dieter, certified sommelier and the next generation.

Hallo John,
Heel even dacht ik dat de foto in Damme genomen was.
De railing van de brug en de schaduw ervan geven meer diepte aan het beeld.
Mooie weerspiegelingen in het kanaal. Ik vind de wolken in de rechter bovenhoek heel mooi en ook deze zijn onderaan weerspiegeld.
Je genoot gisteren van prachtig weer. In Brabant was het echt niet zo mooi.
Een echt zomers beeld met een geweldige helderheid.

Dobro vece, gospdoine.
Interesantan i lep pogled, dobar tekst ...
Lepo pokazano, dobra perspektiva i kontrast, lepe boje, lepo uhvacen trenutak sa belim oblacima. Lep deo mosta i refleks na vodi, lepa zgrada hotela na obali i zeleno drvece.
Zelim vam lepu i mirnu noc, sve najbolje za vikend, srecno.

C'est une présentation agréable, hôtel est bien situé près du canal, ou ils y a de beaux reflets, les zones d'ombre sur la rue, la lumière embelli l'endroit , très belle composition

Hi John,

The reflections on the water are assets to the composition. The point of view is showing the details of the house and of the trees. The light is enhancing the colors. Have a nice day.

Hello John,
The bridge is making a good lead towards the other side of the river, where the trees and the nearest building are very nicely reflected. I wouldn't say that it's a very beautiful view, but that is not so important for the photo. The composition, the sharpness, colours and light and reflections are the things that really matter.

The parts of this photo that I like most are the good reflections and the shadows of the rails along the bridge. Looks like a pleasant area for a bike ride.

Le jeu d'ombre et de lumière sur le pont enjambant le canal est de toute beauté. La végétation à la frondaison abondante se mire avec bonheur dans les eaux calmes.

Wat een schitterende dag met prachtig licht dat de kleuren mooi doet uitkomen. De compositie is uitstekend, mooi gebalanceerd tussen het dorpje en de brug links en het water en de rij bomen rechts. De spiegelingen in het kalme water zijn ook zeer aantrekkelijk.

How could anyone not be enchanted by this beautiful photograph!
The bridge, with its lively shadows, leads into the scene of utter tranquility.
The water in the canal is so calm that the reflections of the house, the trees and the sky are almost like mirror images.
The deep-orange, direction sign make a super feature for helping to guide.

Hello John,
I like the point of view looking across the canal bridge toward the welcoming hotel. Also, the reflections in the still waters and the shadow play. Technical quality as usual is exceptional.
