Rendeux - Change of a lifetime

Something important has recently changed.
I still don't know if I should be very happy or sad.
I turned 64 and retired.

The resulting freedom opens certain perspectives.
I think most of you will be able to guess for which activity I will have more time now.

Yet an important epoch in my life has come to an end.
Not only its importance plays a role, but also the idea that the largest part of life is behind me.
On this site there are several members who have already taken this step, sometimes even quite a while ago and they seem to be very happy with it.

Currently it is still getting used to and I cannot deny that it is with mixed feelings.
Of course it didn't come unexpected. After all, in Belgium you have to complete the formalities well in advance.

The pictures are taken in the village of Rendeux in the province of Luxembourg, the southernmost province of Belgium with the same name as the neighbouring grand duchy.
Rendeux lies in the valley of the river Ourthe in an area that attracts visitors for its natural environment.
The white building that you see on top of the wooded rock, the Mont Aigu, is the chapel of Saint-Thibault.

I took these pictures with my smartphone.
