Photographer's Note

Here is the grelot fountain, always at Châtelet, city where Magritte lived its youth and thus started to paint.
The grelot is one of the object that we often find on the Magritte paintings, like the bird, the bowler hat, the apple...
But instead of saying why these objects are often found on its paintings, I deliver this quotation of Magritte: "My paintings were designed to be material signs of the freedom of thought"
Thus let go your imagination...
NB: The fountain not functioning, I reframed the photograph only on the reflection of this concrete ball (evoking the grelot) in remaining water.
