A bicycle trip to Dudzele a part of Bruges. (40km back and forth) but very well weather

The Boudewijn Canal was dug between 1896 and 1905. It was then called: Bruges-Zeebrugge Canal.
In 1953 the channel was renamed Baudouin Canal, on the occasion of the visit (in 1951) of King Baudouin from Belgium
It runs through the entire port area of Bruges-Zeebrugge and connects the Zeebrugse out port with the inland port of Bruges.
It also offers Zeebrugge a barge connection via the Bruges ring canal and the Ghent-Bruges canal.
Over its total course, it is approximately 12 kilometers long and is completely within the city limits of Bruges.

I hope that you enjoy it
