Hello John,
In this kind of sunshine and 30° Celsius I would prefer to stay somewhere in the shade, maybe with a cold drink, rather than being out on the roads. But apart from the heat this looks very nice. I like the inclusion of the two couples who have made different decisions how to see the countryside. They bring colours and life to the view of the pleasant scenery along the canal.

Hi John,

You have captured well the action of the cyclists and of the photographer. The length of the road is giving depth and perspective to the scene. The point of view is showing the detaild of the trees and of the bridge. Have a nice day.

Hallo John, cycle paths around the village of Damme allow to explore the countryside. The signs provide information about the length of the paths. The cyclists and passersby animate the scene. Fine colors, good sharpness, regards.

Salut John,cette fois le canal est capturee' dans une perspective tournee' a 90 degrees,pas la longue vue mais un stop sur le siphon et le pont,composition parfaite dans la meilleure qualite' et lumiere. Belle journee' et merci,Luciano

You were right to stay in the shade of the trees!

You did well to include these figures and cyclists in your photograph. They immediately add human interest to a very beautiful spot on a very beautiful day!

The young couple in the f/g look confused about which way they should go, whilst the cyclists are confidently heading right.

Your sharp, clear photograph adds a narrative as well as a beautiful location.

Dag John,
What a lovely day for walking and cycling. A little bit too hot for some esp me even I came from hot country originally.
Last year we had more than 40 degree c, it was so unbearable.
I see a cart and a tent on the left hand side , are they belong to the farmer where they can sell their produces - fruits and vegetables normally. Or a cold fresh fruit juice on the day like this would be nice - I think that's what the 'wandelaars' were thinking. Or you were thinking we still have a few long km ride home in this heat............

A scenic rural landscape in summer and they sure know how to make the best of their times together. A lovely shot in bright weather with colourful people's presence which settles the focus of attention. It's immaculately detailed shot with sense of depth, great dof and superb contrast to deep blue sky! Impressive capture.
