These horse and carriage trips are fun to do once, especially with children, but now I just take photos of them. They are common in Europe but rare in North America & Australia. Tfs!

Hello Pierre,

Horse-drawn carriages are both elegant and fun to experience so, it is no wonder that they are still popular with tourists. Riding in them can give the passengers a chance to imagine how rich inhabitants felt, as they travelled the streets, elevated above the poorer members of society.
The horse looks to be stepping keenly and compositionally, it has plenty of space into which it can travel. Nice sharp exposure.

Étonnamment, il y a aussi un passager à l'avant à côté du cocher.
Un bon poste d'observation bien sûr.
La photo me montre que les passagers à l'arrière vont se mouiller s'il pleut :)

A good capture of this horse-drawn carriage turning the corner is this Bruges street. The blue parts contrast nicely with the red areas on the façade of the house. A well timed shot.

Hello Pierre, The favourite theme of our friend John from Belgium - the horse cab. I am worried that he has been absent for quite a long time.
