This photograph has been taken one month ago 8 mile of my home to Sint Laureins against the Dutch borders, a rural municipality where bikes a great pleasure during the summer.

A very nice area, this narrow canal is an connection with the Nord Sea.
These row trees is typical of these region, I took very low for create depth and perspective.
Misty morning this gives nice result between the trees almost without leaves.
St. Laureins was probably originated in the 12th or 13th century as a settlement of peat-cutters. 14th-and 15th-century sources mention the following localities: Sinte Lauwereins to Woestinen (1323), at Sinte Laureins Moere (1326) and Sente Laureyns in Block (1436).
The late Gothic St. Lawrence Church is a protected monument. Noteworthy is the choir, a rarity in a country church. The interior is richly decorated. The former high altar is adorned with a painting by Caspar Crayer. The 17th-century altars altars are gems of Baroque art. This church possesses a rare 16th-century chalice, a fine collection of silver and brass, and some beautiful old robes.
The municipality is operated from the neo-gothic town hall (1902). A devotional chapel from the 19th century is worth a visit. At the edge of the center is the church (1843-1849). From a distance you see around the dome. Here in the church were sick, elderly, disabled and orphans captured. Currently there are restoration work is underway to the big building a new destination.

I wish every visitor a nice weekend.
