Photographer's Note

The old fishmine was rebuilt after it was destroyed by fire in 1872. The monumental gate in baroque style dates back to 1689. On the photograph you can see the rear side. This was built in 1912 in substitution for the buildings in neoclassisism style. It was meant to give the building a more gothic sight before the World Fair began in 1913. Next to the fishmine you have the "Leie".
