Photographer's Note

Little back to Belgium.
Last weekend I made a jump to the Japanese garden of Hasselt to attend a festival of spring color.
The Japanese Garden in the city of Hasselt is the result of twinning that unites the cities of Itami in Japan and Hasselt in Belgium. The friendship dates back to 1985, and together these two cities are designed to ensure the symbolic link between two cultures totally different between Japan and Belgium. The first of sympathy for this Itami is a carillon which was offered in November 1991. In response, the Japanese city helped significantly the Flemish town in the realization of Japanese garden that we have now. Thus, shortly after the work began. The garden was opened on 20 November 1992. It should be noted that this project required agreements such as that of the Commemorative Association for the Japan World Exposition (1970).
