‘Wezembeek-Oppem - The tunnel near home’

This time two photos for which I only had to go 200 meters from the frontdoor of the building where I live.

However, the reality is not what you might think seeing the picture.
You might think I was in a forest.
However, a few meters to the left of the bushes and trees on the left side of the path are the backyards of the houses on a parallel street. A few meters to the right of the other bushes and trees is a large field which is of course empty at the moment. So no forest at all...

With the vegetation it is a nice tunnel to walk through.

Hi Paul,in fact it would seem to be in a forest but it is not so, you are still lucky to have a good scene to capture so close to home. The colors are excellent despite the dark light, a red carpet over a yellow tunnel, the WS is also very good. Have a nice day and thanks,Luciano

Hello Paul,
I have posted several photos from even less than 200 meters from where I live, but we obviously live in very different environments. I could not find a tunnel like this, with such colours, in my neighbourhood. This is almost like a fairytale forest, if I don't imagine the backyards behind the trees. Thanks for informing us that the red dot in the WS is a lady. ;-)

Bonjour Paul,

La longueur du sentier donne de la profondeur et de la perspective à la composition. La prise de vue permet de voir les détails des arbres et des feuilles au sol. La lumière met en valeur les couleurs de l'image. Bonne journée.

Hi Paul,
It does look like a propoer forest! So you don't need to go far to capture some amazing autumnal compositions.
I lik every much the red appearing path. It looks as if the red leaves have fallen first while the trees still keep some yellow ones and there is a reservoir green ones which still didn't turn yellow.
It looks again like an impressionist painitng with plenty of little dots.

Goedemiddag Paul,

Wanneer ik alles goed begrijp, is dit helemaal geen bos.
Maar iedere kijker zonder deze test, zou zweren dat de tunnel dwars door een bod loopt.
U creëert heel mooie diepte met een decoratie van mooie herfst kleuren.
Ook is het dicht beweend er nog een mogelijkheid om de benen te strekken.
Goed fotowerk Paul, bedankt.

Hello Paul, Wonderful tunnel of the trees and especially attractive with the autumn colours. I like here tg=he reddish path. Are these birch trees? Birch looks very beautiful with the bright yellow small leaves. I saw a very similar photo in Google Map, maybe the same place. I see that you live very close to the African Museum, that is so attractive. Also, it is not far from the arboretum. Pity I didn't know about this area when I was in Brussels.
I also have nice wild parks near where I live. To say nothing about my own wild neglected garden. I took some autumn photos, but what for?

Hallo Paul,
Een prachtig gezicht op dit smalle bospad in de herfst. Er zijn zo veel mooie kleuren, maar het meest nog de gele en oranje tinten rond het midden en de rode kleuren van de reeds gevallen bladeren op het pad zelf.

Lep prirodni tunel u sumi, dobro pokazan sa lepim bojama, kontartsom, perspektivom i uhvacenim trenutkom.

Hello Paul,

This proves that you don't have to go too far from home to have beautiful scenes to photograph.
I think the idea of walking through a tunnel of trees goes right back to our childhood, when we didn't necessarily see the beauty but did feel the excitement of imagination!
Though this is fine, my favourite is the w/s example with the lady creating a distant, focal point.
