Photographer's Note
This is a statue of Albert II, King of Germany (died 1439). It's in the Hofkirche in Innsbruck. The church was built in 1553 as a memorial to emperor Maximilian I (1459 - 1519). This statue is one of 28 bronze statues of relatives and ancestors of Maximilian, and a few of his heroes, that surround the cenotaph dedicated to him. The statues are slightly bigger than life size and are beautifully detailed.

Hi Vincent, something of different from your austrian trip this time, a stop for the art with this statue of Albert II taken in an original perspective to show the head profile, top sharpness despite the dark light. Have a nice weekend and thanks,Luciano

Hello Vincent,
A great close-up photo of the statue of this king. The arch, ceiling and columns in the background and their warm colours make a great backdrop. Excellent sharpness also.

A well photographed portrait, perfect sharpness for this profil, good contrast with the Bg and the contrast of tones, tfs.

Hi Vince

Hi Vincent
Handsome sculpture of the King superbly detailed under low light condition and I like the touch of warm background.
But Statues never really look "right" without a pigeon on their heads,,,,!!
Tx for sharing

Hello Vincent,
Sometimes less is more!
A like how you have cropped the statue to give strong focal details of the head and shoulders. The textures are amazing!
There is just enough b/g detail to suggest the setting of the statue.
Kind regards,
Bev :-)
I like the w/s which adds a little illumination.
