Photographer's Note
Going a bit further back in the archives for this picture. Image quality isn’t optimal, but it didn’t take away any of the charm from this tiny café located in one of the busiest sections of the city.
The Hagenauerplatz is a small square in the Getreidegasse Lane in Salzburg′s Old Town. It is almost always crowded, because the birthplace of Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart is located here. It is named after the Hagenauer family, a dynasty of merchants who were the landlords of the Mozart family. On the side opposite Mozart′s birthplace, the Hagenauerplatz is ended by an old gate.
For it’s size, this square sure had a lot to offer, but I was most drawn to this tiny café tucked away in the corner of this already confined space.

Hello Jason,
beautiful and very picturesque scene. You wrote in your note quality is not optimal, but I think it´s not the most important thing in this case, just the unique, charming atmosphere you captured and convey so nicely here.

Hi Jason,
yeah, this is a typically Austrian picture! The cafe looks so much like the one I had lunch at in Klagenfurt! Beautiful corner of the street with a cozy atmosphere.
Thanks and cheers

Oh, I love similar quiet corners in the old European cities and towns. Just a spirit of the past. Good capture, Jason. Very nice composition, fine details.

Hi Jason,
Beautiful light and tones in this excellent small square photo, really very nice composition.A well presented crop allows eyes to remain fixed on the small caffee house. This is a really beautiful interaction, and is a good example of daily life mode. The people around also lends a lovely life to the scene.

Hi Jason,
That is a beautifully busy little square, lots of colour and helped mightily in that by the parasols and flags. The composition you chose makes the gate look very impressive. From the thumbnail I thought this kind of looked like a toy town but the presence of a jester in the cafe sign tells me otherwise. I have jesters in the same category as clowns :)
Great shot, makes the square look really appealing.
Cheers
Noel
