Austrian Trend Design, a photo from Salzburg, West

The most famous street in Salzburg is Getreidegasse (Grain Lane), a pedestrian street in the center of the historic Old Town (Altstadt) lined with the most beautiful hammered signs advertising the many shops and restaurants.

Although most of them are focusing on tourists [and believe me, they are plenty], there is also room for the locals to do their shopping. At least if they're looking for something up the "posh" end. Traditional with a twist. Typical Austrian trend design.

As a good example this show window into Margit Wenger's shop at n:r 29 is displaying the local fashion (Trachtenmode) in a very exclusive design for both men and women. Whether dirndl skirts, suits or loden coats - this was the look for Winter 2011/2012.

In the window you're able to see the reflection of the sign and entrance to the old restaurant Sternbräu at n:r 34-36 on the other side of the lane. For tourists a visit here is almost compulsory, as well as having a look at Mozart's Birthplace (Mozarts Geburtshaus) at n:r 9.

I myself couldn't resist buying one of these traditionally dressed ducks...

Hello Kaj, and welcome back. There's new members here now, like me, but not necessarily lacking experience. Thanks for the help with your forum note to me about posting large panoramics: sadly it hasn't worked and I'm sure there's a glitch (one of many it seems) on this site.
And so to your photograph: I like the reflections, in fact they are the making of this image; also the rich colours. I might have cropped a little tighter, although the shoes at the bottom seem to imply a figure, with the light area as the head, which isn't actually there. Good work.
