Photographer's Note

Me & my wife only stopped here for about 1 hour because we had been walking all day & we needed something to eat, but what we sore was stunning.

This is a view up to Upper Belvedere Palace another wonderful Austrian classic, Upper Belvedere built between 1720-1723 & designed by the architect Johann Lukas von Hildebrandt. The palaces of the Belvedere were constructed for Prince Eugene of Savoy, and served as his summer residence. The roof of the Upper Belvedere was designed to look like Turkish tents in honor of Prince Eugene's defeat of the Turks, driving them from the city in 1683. It also served as the home of Archduke Franz Ferdinand until he was assassinated.
