Photographer's Note
Traunsee is a lake in the Salzkammergut, Austria. Its surface is approximately 24.5 km² and its maximum depth is 191 metres. It is a popular tourist destination. The lake is surrounded by mountains, and other towns,to include Gmunden, Altmünster and Traunkirchen.
The source of the lake comes from the Traun River in Upper Austria. It begins in the mountains of Steirmark and flows through the Salzkammergut area and the lakes Hallstätter See and Traunsee. The Traun is a tributary of the Danube, which it meets near the City of Linz.
The river is noted for its trout and grayling. I have fished this river many times and I have caught many fish.. Gmunden also has a beautiful regatta of boats in the summer time. When I moved from Vienna to Linz in August 1948, I almost immediately discovered the Traun and have fond memories of it and it's namesake the Traunsee.

Hello Roger,
A lovely postcard from this charming village. I like the soft lights and pastel colours. I like how the buildings are nicely spread across the bottom part of the frame with the dominating church making a fine focal point.

Hi Roger,
The composition is well divided, the sky, the town and the river. The point of view is showing the details of the houses and of the buildings. The good luminosity is bringing out the colors. Have a nice day.

Hello Roger,
Beautiful place and excellent view in very pleasant light and colors.
To respond to your questions, I would go back to Cuba if there had not been so many other countries I havent seen yet.
The people were very friendly and it is really opening up. The streetviews are still unique though because of the recent history and yes we saw poverty and restrictions but also friendly and happy people and a beautiful country.
Regards,
Gerrit

Hi Roger, I have seen photos from Salzkammergut and it is marvelous region of Austria. Pity I haven't seen it. Quite deep lake. charming houses. So you like fishing? Not many possibilities in Arizona, I suppose!

Hello Roger,
Same-same to you, glad to see you here again, and many thanks for the note written (there are much better graffiti in this series). And yes - never left TE.
Your photo here, is a nice example to the typical and colorful villages in Austria, each is neat and immaculate with smallest details.
Keep on, post again - will be glad to look at.
My best regards,
Ike
