swimming landmark, a photo from Styria, East

Photographer's Note

The "Murinsel" is a swimmimg platform in the midle of the river called Mur, in the midle of the town Graz, my hometown! It was build in the year 2003 as a modern landmark,as a prominent project of Graz becouse Graz was the culture capital of europe during this year! It was designed and build by an New Yorker artist called Vito Acconci. ( 50 to 20 meters)It`s used as an Amphitheater,american coffe, art galleries and a place for children to play on.

Hello Gigi, This is an interesting modern looking artistic with steel construction. I am not sure how it might be used, but things like this draw visitors and they are impressed because they have never seen anything like that before. Me too. Nicely done. Have great Sunday. Regards, Roger
