Photographer's Note
Even for my tastes, Sarande Beach was a little too built up & overdeveloped, and I spent all of 10 minutes in the water here. But it makes a good base for Butrint and the Blue Eye. There are local buses to less crowded and less developed beaches to the south. Demre north of Jale / Himare is idyllic, but public transport to get there is limited. Those who hire motor bikes to get to Demre and then down the hill to the beaches have a better chance of nailing the perfect deserted beach.

Hi Chris,i have a lot of albanian customers in my bar,and always they talk of Sarande like a paradise...heheh..but in effect this isn't the place for me,a lot of people and a terrific concrete invasion of the coast. The pic talks about what i think, truly well done and colorful, but i like places without this confusion. Have a nice evening and thanks,Luciano

Hello Chris.
This beach looks more famous and is much more crowded than the previous photo, the umbrellas add a lot of color, I like the charm of the previous place.
Very good lighting management and sharpness.
Well done. I like it.
Have a nice day. Very best regards.
Luis.

Hi Chris,
some people hate it but it is a great reportage anyway!
I usually prefer desolated wild beaches with no people present, but the reality is that sometimes there are crowds in nice destinations and it is a part of life.
I like seeing these places as well.
And so it is a great reportage with people adding life and umbrella adding some colors here.
Excellent work!

Hi Chris
I've always enjoyed these wrap around type of shots, they always look good to the eye. it fills out the frame so smartly and creates excellent depth. good to have the bright colors in the fg too. nice one to look at while its cold outside :)
cheers

Olá Chris,
interessante vista dessa colorida praia, embora a faixa de areia ou pedra seja um pouco estreia. A cor da água parece agradável para um mergulho também.
Parabéns e Abraço,
Lucas

Hi Chris
Could be anywhere around the Mediterranean (because of the hire seats and lake of surf!) but a well taken photo.
cheers

Bonjour, cher Chris,
Cette vue directe sur la plage est plus parlante pour apprécier les bonheurs des baignades, bronzage, repos, détente, lecture, et environnement.
Les couleurs claquent joliment.
Amitiés.

Hello Chris,
A pretty crowded beach, but with your higher viewpoint we still get a good view of the sea and the city as well as the many parasols and the many people in the water. Great work and composition.

Hello Chris, Wow, what a crowd in the Saranda beach! I was also in Sarande in 2017 but in the part near the Greek border, there were no people or maybe it was just the low season. Nice view of the umbrellas but not the place for me.
Kind regards MAlgo

Hello Chris,
I only came to Saranda for the passage to Corfu and for a short excursion to Butrint. I stayed in the centre of town and only saw the beach from a distance, and that was obviously enough for me. The curving shore and the many colourful umbrellas make this a very nice shot, but it's not the kind of beach where I would like to spend any time.
Regards,
Gert

Hello Chris,
Indeed, rather crowded but a pleasant scene to contemplate on a cold January day. Well composed making good use of the curving shoreline and the myriad of parasols to create depth and perspective. Excellent colour contrasts and very good sharpness.

Hello Chris,
Just the fact that you have given us such a detailed photograph gives us the chance of deciding whether it is to our taste or not! After close inspection, like you and some others, I think this beach is too busy and too built up!
However, besides a detailed photograph, you have created a fine composition, guiding around the scene from f/g to b/g.
Kind regards,
Bev :-)

Hello, Chris!
There are really a lot of people and umbrellas on this beach, but it looks beautiful anyway, with very nice colors of the water. It makes me want to be on the beach right now, something I haven't done in almost a year... Beautiful composition! Well done!

Hello Chris,
I agree, this would be too crowded for my taste, too. But it made for a colorful, pleasant photo. I wonder what Demre might mean, there is a Demre in Turkey, too.
Regards,
MT
