Hello Kasia,
This is a good picture with very nice colours and well handled sparse light. Personally I find it very interesting beacuse it shows what has happened to this square. In May last year it was fenced off and there was a lot of work going on around the statue. Nobody seemed to know what would happen but I had a feeling it was being turned into a park. I am glad to see I was right.
It might interest you to see this picture I posted here in 2009:

The rainy season sometimes starts earlier than November :-)

Hello Kasia,
Lovely daily life shot! I like rainy day scenes, and the lights and bright colors of the buildings make this gray day seem more cheerful. I also like the effect of the longer exposure, showing the trailing car lights and the movement of the people.

Hi Kasia,
you captured the rainy atmosphere very well, indeed!
I like the dynamism of this "wet" picture created by the motion blur of the passing car and those blurred people on the right whereas the background looks perfectly clear and sharp :)
best wishes,
Elena

An old grad school professor of mine - a historian of Albania, actually - once accused the country of containing nothing but rocks. While that may have been somewhat closer to the truth when it was spoken, Albania's emerged somewhat, so I'm glad to see that people, including you, are starting to visit it! Nice capture; I wonder at the exposure time. Looks like perhaps around a second, depending on how fast that car was going; either way, the perfect stillness of the women at center is a beautiful offset to the others in constant motion around them.

Czesc Kasia,
To dodaje kompozycji dynamiki.
Pozdrawiam serdecznie

Hi Kasia,
Very nice work. I love the long exposure effect you got here and I am surprised the two ladies in the middle are not blurred. You have captured the atmosphere really well. Last time I was here it was a real mess, as Gert describes but worse.
This scene alone shows a lot of what Albania is. A Turkish mosque, the national hero statue that made his name in the war against the Turks, Italian buildings built for the greatness of the "new Roman Empire!" and the final touch of modernity.
Thanks for sharing

Witaj,
sporo tu zmiescilas w kadrze. Ladna praca z albanskiej stolicy.
Milego dnia.

Zdravo Kasia. Maybe one day i shall visit Tirana as Albania is part of my heritage. The city does look pleasant, not the miserable, gloomy city of Enver Hoxa's time. Even the rain hasn't dimmed the mood. Interesting apparitions of streaks of light- another long exposure creation? Pozdrawiam. Klaudio.

Czesc Kasiu,
swietna deszczowa fotografia.
Wczesny wieczor, jeszcze przed blue hour.
Przyjemny efekt z rozmytymi swiatlami samochodu i niektorymi przechodniami rowniez.
Pozdrawiam serdecznie,
M
