Photographer's Note

Once again a picture from Kruja, a historic town an hour's journey north of Tirana.

As the birthplace of the Albanian national hero Skanderbeg (Skėnderbeu) Kruja attracts a fair number of domestic tourists. The area between the town centre and the remains of the medieval castle (including two museums) is packed with souvenir and antiquities shops, but Albanians generally don't have a lot of money to spare, and business seemed to be slow. I am sure all the shopkeepers were waiting eagerly for the days when Albania will attract as many tourists as some of its neighbouring countries.

I will add two workshops from this place.
