Photographer's Note

Among the best-known celebrations in Panama is the famous Carnaval of Las Tablas, a popular festival held each year during the four days before Ash Wednesday. Attracting tourists from all over who enjoy and become part of the explosion of jubilation, colors and music the streets of this picturesque town are filled with celebrations.

Almost all cities and towns in Panama during carnaval have some celebrations. In Chitre on main square of town were a lot of loud music, dance and water pulverize over dancing people. Also local people spray water from garden hoses over the dancing people. They didn't care because the temperature during that time is very high.
