Photographer's Note

The Ometepe Island is the largest island in the country. It's formed by two volcanoes (Conception and Maderas) and it's situated in the Lake Nicaragua. A wonderful place to spend a few days enjoying nature.rnrnIf you like trekking, you can take a route up the Maderas Volcano and find an hidden gem, San Ramon Waterfall. It's a 4 km trek that may take you around 2 hours, not the easiest one, especially the last part, but it's worth it. We can see lots of monkeys and birds on the way.

Il faut faire très attention à cet endroit car l'eau tombe de très haut. Magnifique cadrage vertical qui accompagne à merveille la chute sur toute sa hauteur. Bonne idée d'inclure des gens pour donner une relation dimensionnelle.

It's a very attractive composition of the beautiful waterfall surrounded by dense vegetation on the mountainside. It would have been a fine photo even without the persons, but they definitely improve it by their presence and colours.

a wonderful scene in a very effective description. I like how you placed the tiny people at the bottom of the tall vertical frame, it's a mystery how far the top of the waterfall is and that's fascinating. La cascada no es tan caudalosa pero el entorno parece ser muy bonito y exuberante. Las personas añaden color y dan una idea de las dimensiones.

Hello Ana,
It's great to see some views from Nicaragua through your photos. This vertical view of the waterfall is lovely. We can tell just how tall it is because the people look so tiny. Their clothes are nice splashes of color against the natural tones in the background, too.

é uma cascata bem alta, mas de pouca água. surpreendente que uma ilha pequena tenha água suficiente para criar essa maravilha. muito bonita a foto incluindo as pessoas e nos dando senso de medida.

Fantastic to have such a huge waterfall on an island.
I guess it must have been quite hot there. But an excellent reason to go into the natural pool.
Beautiful how the crashing water is surrounded at both sides by such a green rocks.
