Photographer's Note
The pre-Easter parades in Antigua Guatemala offer great shots of kids and adults doing their thing! This boy was really into getting the incense out!
I managed to catch it just as a big puff was released.
Others to follow :)

Hi Chris,
It's hard to decide what to take pictures of during Semana Santa in Antigua sometimes isn't it...spoiled for choice. I like your shot and you have really caught the spirit of the processions. I thought a tighter crop might work better on capturing the intensity of your subject and his incense so I added a workshop - hope you don't mind.
Cheers

Chris,
Great picture this! Not primarily because of the big puff as you call it being released, but i like it because of the parallel strings in the foreground, making it a more dynamic shot. I also like the concentration on the face of the girl in the middle. Thanks,
Frans

hello Chris,
I was about to suggest a tighter composition, but I see that there's already a WS, I think it works well to better focus attention on the boy. but your timing is excellent, the white puff of smoke together with the purple robes create a very intense scene, I like that a lot.
best,
Kristine
