Photographer's Note

This was taken from underneath the huge Jesus statue (see workshop) in the north-east side of Havana pointing my camera to the old part of the city (SW). See the link at the bottom for the exact location. Click on the photo for the large version.

I took this early in the morning, around 7:00 am. I was there the day before, in the afternoon, but at that time the light came from the front and was terrible. You can get here by driving thru the tunnel and than take the first exit; a hairpin corner.

At daytime you have to pay admission to enter the grounds and pay the guy that keeps an eye on your car but at 7:00 in the morning, you can keep your pesos in your pocket! (: It was a nice quiet morning, nobody was there. I just sat there and watched the city wake up.

Technical: tripod, 70mm, stitched (Photovista Panorama) with 10 picture with the same exposure.
