Photographer's Note

Tucked within the Sierra de los Órganos is one of the most striking natural settings in Cuba... Vinales is mostly characterised for the fertile plains of several valleys separated by haystack hills called "mogotes", reminiscent of the limestone hills of Quilin. The green of the tobacco fields contrast with the red earth giving this place a certain magic which as probably been a contribute when in 1999 the area was pronounced as a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
