Photographer's Note

Everywhere you go in Cuba you can see great street life. The people there are polite, easy going, and un-selfconscious about being photographed, making it a good place to get little portraits like this. Trinidad is a very colourful and historic place, giving the buildings some outstanding colour. While the city is undergoing some restoration work, there are still lots of places that have a great, unrestored character feeling, like this building. Trinidad is a very photogenic place, and after Havana is one of the most historic and interesting places in Cuba to visit. The city is one of the oldest in the Americas, established almost 500 years ago in 1514 - the man looks only slightly younger.
