Photographer's Note

This is one of the most famous places in Habana and one of the biggest squares in the world - Plaza de la Revolution. Around 12km2 wide, it was named like this after the revolution and here we can find the monument to José Marti and steel memorials to two heroes of the revulotion: Che Guevara and Camilo Cienfuegos. In this case, we have Che Guevara and the building is the Ministry of Interior.
It was here that Fidel Castro used to talk to the people and this was also the square where a huge mass took place during the visit of Pope Jean Paul II and lately Pope Francis.
