Conchal beach, a photo from Guanacaste, West

Photographer's Note

Playa Brasilito and Conchal make up a unit seperated by the rock headlands of Punta Conchal. Its name is derived that the sand is made up of millions of cruched shells.
The beaches are drenched in sunshine, this being one of their most valued attractions. The sun shines between 11-12 hours a day during the dry season (December-April), heating the coastal system with an average maximum temperature of 36°C during March and April, and an average annual temperature of 27.7°C Rainfall is around 1800 mm, but last only a short time, giving way to an exhausting drought where streches of tawny terrain alternate with grassland and stands of mayflower, wild cotton, swollen-thorn acacia and some cacti.

Hola Rafael,

Los colores en esta foto son muy impresionantes. me gusta mucho el angulo de toma. La nuve sobre los arboles llena un vacio azul de una manera muy interesante. Muy bonita foto.

Hola Rafael,
I like the framing with the bright kayaks on the beach sloping down to the curve of the bay. The trees still seem to under the influence of the rainy season, and the puffs of clouds make it seem like it might rain again. A very tropical looking shot. I like your note`as`well. Try Enhance>color>remove color cast and Filter>sharpen>unsharp mask>56%, 0.7 Pixels, 0 levels and see what you think.

Nice, bright and brilliant contrast between the dingys and the rest of the scene, especially the sand. The composition is good and leads the eye along the shore line. Nice sharpness and detail and good exposure. Well presented.

Hola Rafael,
Of course what makes this compo are the colorful boats aligned on the beach. The colors are so bright and sharp that it seems that the boats will jump out of the picture. The contrast with the dark sky and the clear sand beach is just wonderful.

Rafael the more I look at this shoreline the more I am convinced that including the red from the rafts really makes this photo a colorful ensemble. I love the deep blue sky and the lush green trees along the shoreline. Very well done!

Hola Rafael. Me gusta mucho la profundidad que tiene esta foto, pero sobre todo me gusta el contraste entre el rojo fuerte de las barcas del primer plano y el verde de la vegetación. Crea un efecto dramático interesante, subrayado también por el hecho de que aparezcan (las barcas) como entrando en escena. Me gusta mucho. Gracias.
