Photographer's Note

This photograph is taken in Nassau, the capital of Bahamas. Bahamas is a state which possesses the Bahamas which turns into West Indies from nation in the Commonwealth. It is an about 700 island, and is a member one-country barrel constitutional monarchy state of the British Commonwealth of Nations kingdom simultaneously. The sea is separated, Florida Peninsula in the USA exists in a northwest, Cuba exists in southwest, and Haiti exists in southeast. Tourist business and the finance business, such as a tax haven, are the economic centers of this nation. On the other side of white sands so that it may be powder, the transparent and quiet sea spreads out(Upper photograph). In the main street, it is not a wide passage and the tourist partner's duty-free shop and restaurants were located in a line with both sides. The building of pastel color tone seen to lower left is the Houses of Parliament. It is the store which sells the wedding dress to the lower right. Since it was interested, I photographed it. And, I saw that there are horse carriages for the sightseeing in the street. Historically, Christopher Columbus as an adventurer, will begin from having landed at the land in which native Arawak fellows resided permanently in 1492. Then, using the Spain route, many European comes here, indigenous people will have become extinct with forced labor, an illness, etc. And then, many black persons were taken to the Bahamas as a slave for the first time from Africa instead of the Arawak. Even now, if we walk along a town, many black persons will be seen. Britain will start colonization in 1647. After 1945, through the anticolonial movement, it carries out independent on July 10, 1973, and has continued up to now.
