Photographer's Note

Again there's more to the ocean than sharks, snails and fish. The reef itself that has taken many thousand years to become what it is today offers some amazing formations of plants and corals. This Yellow Tube sponge grows on a small reef just south from the head quarter of the Exumas Land & Sea Park, Jeep Reef.
The Bahamas platau has proved to reach a depth of up to 6500m of pure limestone, and under that what originaly triggered the formation of the reefs, the vulcanic rocks.
