Photographer's Note

I met this friendly fellow when diving Cades reef off the southern coast of Antigua.
It is a Slender Suckerfish, and is usually seen hitching a ride stuck to the side or underbelly of a shark. If you look closely you might be able to make out the sticky pad on the flat top of its head that it uses to attach itself to its host. It was trying really hard to attach itself to my air cylinder and spent about 30 minutes weaving between my legs as I hovered above the reef. Beautiful dive!

I used my Sony P200 camera in an Ikleite underwater housing. No strobes - natural light. Minimal processing in PS - just levels and a touch of red colour balancing.
