Pagoda Thien Mu

If you follow the "parfum" river to the west for about 4km you reach the famous pagoda of Hue called Thien Mu. The pagode of the Holy Mother lies on the hill Ha-Khe. After a legend an old woman in red garbs appeared every night and prophesied the building of a pagode here. Thereupon Prince Nguyen Hoang let built the pagode 1601. With its seven floors the 21m high octagonal tower of the Heikigen symbolizes the seven incarnationen of Buddhas. Behind the pagode is the beautiful area of a monastery with a lot of Bonsais.
