Sapa in bad weather ???

Maybe you will remember that I complained a few times about the foggy weather in March / April in the north of Vietnam.
Someone told me over there the month of November is ideal for a visit.

Now we are in November and terrible news reached us from Vietnam.
The country is now hit by typhoon Damrey.

Last month floods killed already more than 80 people in northern Vietnam while another typhoon wreaked havoc in central provinces in September.

Typhoon Damrey now killed definitely 27 people and 22 others are still missing.
More than 40.000 homes have been damaged and 40.000 hectares of crops had been damaged, including sugar cane, rice fields and rubber plantations.
In the South China Sea 6 ships had capsized with 61 people on board. Some passengers were rescued.
The by foreign tourists much visited town of Hoi An is under water.
Floods inundated parts of central and southern Vietnam.

The term ‘bad weather’ then has a different meaning.
