Photographer's Note

A zoomed shot of a fisherman checking a small portion of his massive nets above water line from which the nets can be lowered and raised. Getting around on the coracle seemed routine but it also showed a great display of dexterity and the enormousness of his task ahead.

Perhaps, a way of life is in his blood which hasn't changed for many generations and it's so fascinating to see how this distinctive contraptions dominate such a large part of the calm waters of Lap An Lagoon, Lang Co Bay 30 km north of Danang. A peaceful sight where many locals depend on their nets to make a living

It's such a fantastic area for photography which offers one of the most scenic sights in Vietnam's central coast.

Additional picture:
Workshop1: Wider view of the lagoon taken on overcast morning. There were several positions on the small bridge nearby to get shots of these nets but by staying around for a couple of hours I managed to get a variety of shots from diff angles
