Photographer's Note

The ancient and atmospheric Cham temple complex of My Son is inland from Hoi An and usually visited as a day trip. The complex suffered badly from American bombing but some of the towers were fortunately spared.
We were lucky - floods cut the access road the day after our visit.
Lying amongst the grass to the side of one of the temples were these sections of highly carved columns waiting, perhaps to be re-erected one day or just to lie there as a reminder of things past?
