Photographer's Note

The first time I came to Langbiang, the highest mountain of Lm Vin highland was 15 years ago and the first night I spent in x-Lc, the village of the Lạch ethnic minority people, was my birthday of 20. At that time there was no school in this village and most people here could not read, write even speak Vietnamese. Their main work is woodcutter. Now coming back x-Lc everything has been change. I can not recognize anything except the mountain Lambiang and an old church. The Lạch people still use their own language but they also can speak Vietnamese even some can speak English. There are 3 schools in this village and most of children can go to school to study.

This 7-year old girl told me a lot about her village, her family and her wishes in future. Look at her face I have a belief that all her wishes will come true.
