Photographer's Note

During colonial times the French built some magnificent buildings in Saigon. Probably supreme amongst them was the Hôtel De Ville, these days the home of the People's Committee Building. It carries plenty of reminders of the Hôtel de Ville in Paris. After I took this photo I noticed that I was standing next to a sign saying "No Photos"!!!! No one arrested me.
Modern buildings are starting to crowd in around the building and would provide ample opportunities for photos at a safe distance.
